Apple does it again
October 3, 2014
Technology is pushing the limits when it comes to amazing capabilities and incredible access to information, whether on the internet or on a device. Apple is no exception, releasing the new iPhone model and iOS 8. The iPhone 6 was available starting on Sept. 19, equipped with the innovative iOS 8, which was released two days prior.
Remaining true to every other iPhone release, the iPhone 6 is full of updates and changes to the previous iPhone 5. This model is even slimmer than the last; the iPhone 6 measures 6.9 millimeters in width. The iPhone 6 Plus is slightly bigger, measuring 7.1 millimeters. Not only is the iPhone 6 thinner, it is considerably larger than past models. iPhone 6 screens are 4.7 inches while the iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5 inch screen. In addition to having a bigger screen, the iPhone 6 promises a higher screen resolution, ensuring optimal visual performance. Battery life is extended in this model, accompanied with a more efficient and powerful chip to allow the user a longer and more enjoyable iPhone experience.
Photography with the iPhone 6 has been vastly improved. Video capability has expanded with features like slow-mo, time-lapse and HD video recording. The iPhone camera is now rigged with two much-anticipated abilities: burst mode and timer mode. Taking ten pictures per second, burst mode captures those candid moments and every face you made in between. Timer mode delays the taking of a picture for up to ten seconds, making the perfect group picture even easier.
Apple has left no territory uncharted in the technology world with the unveiling of the iPhone 6. Coupled with the new features of iOS 8, the iPhone 6 is sure to go where no other device has ventured before.
