(another gasp) parents and (yet another gasp) grandparents. Since the general public has taken a liking to things of the sort, studios have picked up on the sudden demand. Here are a few that are hitting the screens in the coming years. (Some with unknown release dates are include
“Ghostbusters” – July 15, 2016
“Who you gonna call?” The brand-new cast of this respected franchise! Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, along with Chris Hemsworth as a receptionist. Considering 80 percent of the cast is made up of Saturday Night Live actresses and Dan Akyroyd is the executive producer, this film could be just as comical as its predecessors.
“Ben–Hur” – August 19, 2016
The former, directed by William Wyler in 1959, has an 88 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is considered one of the greatest films of all time. The remake is going to be lit.
“Beauty and the Beast” – March 17, 2017
Scheduled to premiere in 2017, this real-life reintroduction includes Emma Watson as Belle, Ian McKellan as Cogsworth, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Dan Stevens as Beast and Ewan McGregor as Lumiere. The star cast has encountered computer animation out the wazoo in their previous roles, so they should know the twists and turns associated with it to be able to make this an entertaining one.
“The Magnificent Seven” – September 23, 2016
The 1960 classic western starred Steve McQueen. The fresh plate of spaghetti seen before us stars Chris Pratt. We will see how this one pans out.
