A little goes a long way

With the coming of the holiday season a lot comes to mind. Presents, music, parties, the list goes on. For Senior Damaria Hamilton the act of giving plays a vital part, a part played through one of the most common necessities, food.
Hamilton donated a few cans of food to a fundraiser raised for unfortunate children and the homeless. Though there is tension and arguments when it comes to gifting the homeless but for Hamilton it is one that does not prevent charity.
“Nobody deserves to go hungry, no matter what they’ve done,” Hamilton said.
What Hamilton did was wonderful but the happiness that has come from generosity is undeniably something that is anticipated more than recognition of it Big or small Hamilton’s giving never stops .
“The feeling was good. I got to help somebody else,” Hamilton said.
The act of giving delves into more than just action for people like junior Drieon Johnson, who has also been active in giving, it has taken on a whole new meaning.
“[I enjoy] giving someone something that they will truly love, and I don’t mean materialistic things, but things like love, kindness, and encouragement,” Drieon said.
