The Ninth Grade School just held nominations for leading Student Government Association officers. Throughout the year the selected officers will be leading, observing and constructing a strong SGA organization.
The elected SGA president is Morgan Fisher. She has many responsibilities for this club; planning activities, solving problems and being the voice for those who cannot speak out.
“I wanted to impact the school and student body,” Fisher said. “As much as it has in my years.”
Vice President Saylor Cuzzort helps Fisher with all the planning and organizing.
“I have always enjoyed SGA,” Cuzzort said. “I’ve been in it since 4th grade and wanted to stick with it.”
Secretary Harley Whitehead is in charge of keeping roll, the minutes and summaries of the meetings.
“I enjoy being secretary because I love being involved in the school,” Whitehead said. “It’s really fun and enjoyable with all the things we do.”
The Treasurer Ashlyn Canfield, will keep up with all the financial duties and will take care of all the money. “I wanted to be treasurer because I love to help out my school,” Canfield said. “I would like to show leadership through my position to be an example for the rest of the school.”
Historian Ashley Smith is responsible for taking pictures, recording events and preparing monthly reports.
“I thought I would be great for this school year,” Smith said. “I can make it perfect, organized and feel appreciated.”
