Clubs and organizations are sponsoring a variety of holiday giving projects to help local families have a more enjoyable Christmas. Crusaders for Cancer Awareness are participating in Kritters for Kids where anyone can donate blankets and stuffed animals that will either be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. The last day to bring in any blankets or stuffed animals will be Friday Nov. 18. Other organizations, such as Key Club, will be volunteering at the Downtown Rescue Mission for Thanksgiving where members will be delivering food and other items to families in need of a meal for Thanksgiving dinner from Nov. 20 – Nov. 24. For Christmas, SGA will be wrapping presents for teachers to send to the Make-A-Wish foundation. They will begin wrapping presents the week we come back for Thanksgiving Break, on Nov 28.
