Donald Trump Starts His Second Presidential Term

Since 2024 was an election year, this new year comes with a new president. This year’s major runnings were Donald Trump for Republican against Kamala Harris for Democrat. As you may know, the Republican vote won. This means Trump will begin his inauguration at 11 a.m. (Central Time) on Monday, January 20, on a federal holiday, Martin Luther King Junior Day. The ceremony will be held at the White House in Washington DC. This will make him not only the 45th United States president but also the 47th.

There will be a victory rally, which is scheduled for Sunday, January 19. During the rally, there will be many performances such as Carrie Underwood, Village People, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus and Kid Rock. Carrie Underwood will be performing “America the Beautiful” at the inauguration. Many well-known people will be attending, including former president Biden, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and many others. Although former president Obama is planning on attending, Michelle will not.

This will be Trump’s second time in office, having been elected in 2016 after winning over Hillary Clinton. Since then, he has cut corporate taxes by record amounts, helped reshape the federal judiciary, enforced new illegal immigration restrictions and reinforced Israel as an ally.

Trump’s plan for this presidency is mainly based on America’s economy. The name for this plan is Project 2025. This is a large project that has a $22 million budget. It has been directed by Paul Dans and Kevin Roberts is the president of the project. Even though the project is an effort by the Heritage Foundation, Trump plans to team up and help with a big portion of this. These plans were originally set in April of 2023 and it is the ninth iteration of the Mandate for Leadership series that has been published since 1981 when it was first released.

The plans include ideas to de-weaponize the federal government and increase accountability and responsibility, continue American energy production to reduce energy prices, improve education by putting funding under the control of the state and local governments and cut the growth of government spending to reduce inflation. Some of his more popular plans, such as securing the border, deporting illegal aliens, and not allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports have created a lot of controversy.
