3rd Party Offers Way Out

Gary set to win the election. Although the chances are slim that a third party candidate could win the presidential election in 2016, it does boost party popularity for future elections. The Libertarian Party, whose candidate Gary Johnson, is the third largest political party in the country and also the fastest growing.
The Libertarian Party was created in 1971 and founded on the sole principles that the U.S. Constitution should always come before the selfish agenda of the establishment. They believe in a small government mainly because they want you as an American to have as much privacy as possible and think that nobody is more fit to lead your life more than themself. Although for some citizens that may not be true, the majority are probably not idiots. Voting Libertarian in this election is a way out for those who see both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as unqualified to lead the country.
Our national debt is rising and does not look like it will be diminishing anytime soon. The Republicans and Democrats have driven this country into the ground. They try to take away more of people’s rights every day without their notice. So, what is the point in voting for the lesser evil when one can make a statement? No, Gary Johnson will not win the presidency this year, or maybe never will, but if enough people come out and vote Libertarian it could destroy the two-party system once and for all. This time four years from now it may be a close three-party race.
Libertarian policies are a mix of both conservative and liberal issues, almost like the Independent Party. The Libertarian Party economic policy is personal freedom. which means making one’s own choices as one sees fit over forced economic equality (socialism). The LP favors gay marriage and no gun control, but with the other two parties, people will only get one or the other. When it comes to education the Libertarian Party supports a market-based educational system compared to the left’s Common Core, which is a disaster that has dumbed down the learning material and the right’s belief in sending their children to private school no matter the situation. America has been at war for most of its existence. Currently we are in the Middle East which the right and left support, but Libertarians believe in a non-interventionist foreign policy. This means that we would not wage pointless wars halfway across the globe, but instead build up our defenses which starts at our border, not Iraq’s.
On Nov. 8 this election will result in a Democratic or Republican win, but for those who want a different type of change for this country, remember to come out and support the Libertarian nominee in 2020, or one could vote for Kanye West. How will our political system change if nobody is brave enough to step up and vote third party? One may not win at first, but if one keeps trying, success will be imminent.
