Monday Starts Much Needed Fall Break

Every year students look forward to the first pause of the school year, fall break. Fall break is a one-week break in the beginning of October. Students stay home from school, and don’t have any school work to complete. It also marks the end of the first nine-week’s grading period.

After the stress of coming back to school after our two-month summer vacation, students are yearning to stay up late and sleep in. The early days of autumn sets the perfect time to relax and be able to do these things.

Fall break is the perfect time to go outside, decorate for fall or just enjoy your time away from school. The weather is cooling off from summer heat and the sun starts setting earlier to give you the perfect time to have a bonfire, roast hotdogs and enjoy s’mores.

Nature lovers are also fall break lovers. As the temperature drops it’s the perfect time to go camping, go to the cabins, go on a hike or to vacation in your own backyard to absorb some vitamin D.

Teachers also appreciate the time off that comes with fall break. Teachers work hard during school and after hours, so having a week of off time helps them to regroup and have some much needed self-care time.

So, when the bell rings tomorrow afternoon let’s all go out and enjoy a full week of fun and rest.
