A long and competitive season has proved satisfactory for the Winter Guard team here at Sparkman.
With having an undefeated season, winning the title of Alabama State Champions in the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Championships and second place in the competition overall , the team has earned some praise worthy awards under their belts for the year.
The competition proved to be competitive for the team. Competing against Buckhorn High and Tennessee school Mt. Juliet High School, the competition was not without feelings of perseverance and pressure to succeed. For Junior Orielle Caudle, it brought forth other feelings as well.
“The competition was emotional. We had great competition and for the seniors on the team that will be leaving, we really wanted to win,” Caudle said.
