Our school’s cross country team had their first race, last Saturday in Moulton, Alabama.

We had six runner to place in the Top 15 in their races. Senior Hailey Brown, placed 11 out of 151 participants in the Varsity girl’s 5K (3.1 mi). Seniors Harrison Miller and Jake Russell placed fourth and fifth in the Varsity boy’s 5K. The boys  placed fifth overall as a team.

Freshman Elisa Jones, placed 11 in the JV girl’s 2 mile race. Eighth grader Austin Al-Dijaili and ninth grader Matthew Livingston finished in 10th and 13th place in the JV boy’s 2 mile race. The JV boys got a third place finish.

The team did exceptionally well in the first meet of the season and they are looking forward to the races ahead.
