The Senators are now 3-0 after clutching a win against Austin, 21-18 in their first region game on Friday night.
Last year the Senators lost to Austin in overtime due to a field goal and came back for redemption this year. Senior Yves Ponder had a monster defensive game with 18 tackles along with junior Josh Murphy with 13 tackles.
Offensively Josh Ward threw for two touchdowns to Brodie Slate, while Jayden “Drip” Thomas had a great game with 10 carries, 126 rushing yards and one touchdown.
The Senators will face the Albertville Aggies on Friday, Sept. 15 at Albertville.
