Snow Days Activities

Snow days have been hitting Huntsville in these past weeks, and who knows if we are going to have more of them. If we do, these are the things that our students have enjoyed the most.

1. Making a Snowman: People, snow and excitement are the only requirements to build the perfect snowman. Meet your people and you may create together the prettiest snowman you’ve ever seen.

2. Snow Ice Cream: You can leave a big bucket in the backyard or driveway, anywhere where you know it will get some snow, and wait until it’s full. Once you have enough snow, mix it with sugar, milk and maybe some vanilla, and it’s all ready to eat.

3. Snow Angel: Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes and that they won’t easily get wet and lie on the ground. Move your arms and legs and by the time you get up, your angel shape will be on the ground. Make sure to take a picture of that.

4. Blanket and movie: Get your fireplace on, get your warmest blanket and turn on Netflix, Disney Plus or any other streaming platform to watch your favorite movie. You can tell your friends to join.

5. Hot chocolate: Making hot chocolate nowadays is pretty simple. Buy any cocoa and mix it with water. It will keep you from being cold, and, who doesn’t love chocolate? Put some marshmallows if you’d like and ENJOY.

6. Play with your pets: Your animals may or may not enjoy the snow, but it’s worth trying. Get them outside, play with them, run and chase you, but don’t forget to take care of them after that, because they will get cold and wet.

7. Family day: You can cook your favorite meal. Hot and warm food that all of you enjoy. Spend the day talking to each other in a cozy family reunion. You can do those activities that you never do together for lack of time.

8. Snowball war: Get snow and gloves and be ready to start the war. You may receive snow on your face or anywhere else. Be careful with the small kids because they may get hurt if you don’t control your strength.

9. Take a personal care day: Take a shower, take care of your skin, put on facial masks and read your favorite book. These are some options you may want to consider. Do anything that makes you feel relaxed and chill and good with yourself.

1o. Take pictures: You should take pictures of the snow, of you in the snow, your friends and family too. Capture those moments with the people you love, and who knows, you may even get to take some cute pictures of yourself.

The truth is that it doesn’t matter what you do, but who you do it with. Go outside, have fun, take pictures and play. Make sure that you will remember those moments because we never know when we will get to have them again.
