Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Sometimes we struggle too much about what to do to make the day special for our Valentine. These are some options you might want to consider for February 14.
- Favorite candy
Getting your Valentine his/her favorite candy or sweets will always make them happy. Any little detail counts on this day, so if you still don’t know what to get, candy is always a great option. Try to choose his/her favorite kind or something you know will make them feel special.
- A Stuffed Animal
We all love it when someone gives us a little thing and tells us that they saw it, and it reminds them of us. If you can find any kind of toy or little stuffed animal that makes you think about that special person, you should tell them when you give it to them. Also, who doesn’t love to sleep with the stuffed animal that your Valentine gave you?
- Flowers
This may be the most common thing people do, but buying flowers always works. Try to get them in the color you know they will like or if you know a particular kind of flower they love, go for it. It’s always nice to receive them.
- A Handwritten Letter
There aren’t many things that can be better than handwritten letters. Writing and giving one to your Valentine will make them feel special. Make sure you tell them how important they are to you. Express your feelings for that person and show your love and respect. You may also want to include special memories you have together and some of the reasons why you love them.
- Jewelry
Necklaces, rings or bracelets are the most common choice. You always need to adapt what you buy to the person you’re giving it to. Try to get what you know they will like better, and if you are not sure about what they like, just look at them and see what kind of jewelry they usually wear. Jewelry with love symbols like an infinity symbol, a heart, your initials, an important date or a quote you wrote can make it be more personalized.
- A Dinner Date
A lot of times, food is the easiest way to make people happy. Going to a restaurant you both like or just cooking for each other and eating is a good plan. It is not so much about where, but about the moment. Make sure it looks romantic too, so you can talk and eat with your Valentine.
- A Handmade Picture Collage
You don’t need to be an artist to be able to make a pretty craft for your loved ones. You can always print out some pictures together, glue them and add some memorable quotes. This way you can recap a lot of different moments together cutely and simply. A scrapbook may be a little more elaborated but, if you put the effort into it, the other person will appreciate it either way.
- Spending Time Together
There are a lot of cute dates that you could go to. There’s no need to spend a lot of money on plans. There are a lot of economical ideas out there that are just as fun. You can go to the movies, ice-skate, do karaoke together or just go to the park. Most of the time, the important thing is not where you are going but who you are going with. Many pretty memories can be created by having that in mind.
- A Valentine’s Basket
This is a combination of a lot of things. You can put anything you know your significant other will like. Some ideas are chocolate, books, a soft blanket, little jewelry or toys. Make sure to add at least one of your Valentine’s favorites.
- Matching PJ’s
A set of matching pajamas is an amazing gift for this holiday. Choose a theme they like, maybe their favorite cartoon character, color or print, but make sure you get one for yourself too. Don’t forget to take a picture when both of you are wearing it!
There are many ways to show the people you love that they are special to you, it doesn’t have to be anything expensive or luxurious, any little thing counts as well. Best friends, family members or your partner, they sure will appreciate anything you do for them. And remember, you don’t have to wait until this day to show your love, you should make your special people know that you love them every day.
