For the new year, Facebook creator, Mark Zuckerberg, has created a new book club. Specifically, a Facebook- book club. Zuckerberg plans to read a new book every other week along with the 89,000 other people that have liked the page.
“I’ve found reading books very intellectually fulfilling. Books allow you to fully explore a topic and immerse yourself in a deeper way than most media today. I’m looking forward to shifting more of my media diet towards reading books,” Zuckerberg said.
The first book, Moises Naim’s The End of Power, had its sales suddenly soar. The book became number 30 on the Amazon.com sale lists and sold out of stock on Amazon.com Sunday night. Zuckerberg hopes virtual book club will aid himself and others in completing a resolution to read more in 2015.
