Lit mag sold out, looking to buy more
May 15, 2015
In less than a week, the literary magazine staff sold out of the 2015 Silhouette magazine.
Literary magazine is one of the three student run publications that is offered at school. Each year the class works to put out a magazine composed of all student artistic work. The magazine is composed by students, laid out by the students and made by students. The theme of this years’ literary magazine was “Composed Revelations.”
“There are many different ways for someone to reveal what is in their soul. Some people reveal what is in their soul through art, some do it through photography, some through poetry and some through stories,” literary magazine adviser Renee Quaife said. “‘Composed Revelations’ is however it is you reveal your soul. You compose it. You create it.”
“Composed Revelations” became available on May 11, when the literary magazine class hosted their annual showcase. They bought 50 magazines and started selling them at the showcase for $10 apiece. They were sold out by May 13.
“We intend to order more, and they will still be $10,” Quaife said. “If they come in after students leave, I’ll mail the magazine to them.”
