Student’s future at West Point looks up

Following in the footsteps of Robert E. Lee, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ulysses S. Grant and the lesser noted George Custer, comes senior Chris Little. What these figures saw at one point in their lives as a bright future, Little sees the same in West Point, an academy all four of these men attended and that Little plans to attend.
Little was recently immersed in West Point daily life this summer at the academy’s enrichment program. His experiences there have altered his state of mind for the school in astounding ways and has driven him headlong in the direction of attending this prestigious academy.
“Everybody that was running it was an actual cadet there, so we got to really interact [with them]” Little said. “It was basically like we were right there.”
Little shared personal times with his unit through sports, learning and other assorted duties.
“This one time we were straight up out of ideas, so we got a bouncy ball and just started playing baseball with it,” Little said. “I think they were making that one up as they went.”
Little was told that from the moment a person sets foot in the program, then they will know whether or not they will love it or hate it; Little had a positive reaction.
“This is definitely what I want to do with my life, [I] can’t describe it,” Little said. “I’m just really passionate about doing it, that’s just what I want to do.’”
